1 The Laser Marking Process

Another technique called laser etching is homologous to laser engraving. Laser engraving heats the material and evaporates a portion of the surface. Laser etching, on the other hand, heats the material, causing the surface of the material to melt, thereby bulging a portion.

The purpose of laser marking is to change the color of the material, laser engraving removes some of the material, and laser etching is the surface expansion of the material.
